Company overview
Shinka is an AdTech platform focused on programmatic monetisation for CTV and DOOH. It connects advertisers with publishers and handles billions of ad requests every day, using technology and partnerships to deliver measurable outcomes.
Role summary
We are looking for our first Technical Solutions Engineer to act as the technical pillar of the commercial team. In this role, you will support the full customer journey across SDR, Account Executive, and Customer Success functions by making the technical side of a deal believable, managing RFIs, leading testing and evaluation, and helping customers integrate and launch successfully.
This is a customer-facing technical position rather than an internal support role. You will work directly with prospects’ and customers’ engineering teams, explain Shinka’s architecture and capabilities in their language, reduce risk during evaluation, and remove technical hurdles that delay conversion or go-live. You will also pass real customer patterns and needs back to product and engineering.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of the technical sales process by handling RFIs, security questionnaires, architecture discussions, and integration queries that help the Account Executive advance opportunities.
- Plan, configure, and support technical evaluations and proofs of concept, keeping ownership from initial testing through to successful launch.
- Partner with Customer Success to onboard new clients, support integrations, and resolve technical issues before they turn into churn risks.
- Act as the technical connector between customers and Shinka’s engineering team by turning repeated customer requests into actionable product and platform feedback.
- Create reusable resources such as reference responses, testing playbooks, and integration documentation that improve speed and consistency across future deals and onboarding.
What we are looking for
- Someone with strong technical credibility who is comfortable discussing APIs and integrations with customer engineers.
- A person who can translate complex technical ideas into language a commercial audience understands, and also explain commercial context to technical teams.
- Confidence to drive testing and evaluation work independently, solve blockers quickly, and keep momentum without needing constant direction.
- A strong service mindset, with a willingness to treat each customer’s technical challenge as your own.
- Prior experience as a solutions engineer, sales engineer, or integration/implementation engineer is a strong fit for this position.
- Helpful adtech protocol knowledge, especially OpenRTB, VAST/VPAID, Prebid, Prebid Server, ads.txt, sellers.json, and the SupplyChain object.
- Exposure to technologies such as Go, TypeScript/React, Kubernetes/GCP, BigQuery/Kafka, and security/compliance frameworks like SOC 2 is an advantage but not required.
Compensation and benefits
- Annual base salary of €70,000.
- Company bonus of 10% of base at plan.
- Role based in Dublin.
- Hybrid working model: three days per week in the office and two days per week from home.
Application details
To apply, send a brief message to careers@shinka.io with: (a) an example of a technical evaluation or integration you supported, including the challenge and your approach, and (b) an example of how you bridged communication between a customer and an engineering team to remove a blocker. Use the subject line: “Technical Solutions Engineer – [your name]”. At this stage, a cover letter or formal CV is not required.
If your background does not match the description exactly but the role feels like the right next step for you, you are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility
This opportunity is intended for candidates who are currently based in Ireland, or who already have the right to work in Ireland, and who are willing to work from Dublin.
