About the role
Siemens Healthineers is hiring a Technical Software Support professional to help diagnose and resolve customer issues related to the Varian oncology software suite. The role is part of a global healthcare technology environment focused on improving patient outcomes and expanding access to care.
Key responsibilities
- Handle customer support cases remotely, investigate technical problems, and involve other teams when a case requires deeper escalation.
- Work to bring affected systems back to normal service as quickly as possible so downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of all support actions in the CRM system.
- Assist with software installations, version upgrades, ongoing maintenance tasks, and customer training sessions.
- Operate in line with WHS, quality, and internal company procedures at all times.
Technical background
- You should bring strong troubleshooting ability across multiple IT layers, including networks, infrastructure, and both Windows and Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, networking, and virtualized environments is required.
- Exposure to one or more of Microsoft SQL Server, Citrix, Microsoft Azure, or Linux-based systems is expected.
- A qualification in IT or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent practical experience can also meet the requirement.
- Previous work in medical IT is an advantage.
- You must be willing to work outside standard business hours when operational needs require it.
