Role Overview
Tricel is seeking a skilled Technical Document Controller to join their team at the Head Office in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. This role reports to the Group Document Control Lead and is crucial for overseeing the administration, control, and upkeep of all technical data within the company's electronic document management system. Comprehensive training will be provided to successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain technical documents and records in the ERP-IFS Electronic Management System, including engineering drawings, work instructions, certificates, and test reports.
- Oversee document flow from initiation through to approval, ensuring efficient processing.
- Guarantee adherence to both global and local documentation and record-keeping standards.
- Identify, review, revise, control, and archive documents accurately, ensuring precision according to document types and classifications to prevent errors.
- Ensure documents contain all necessary details for easy access and comprehension by relevant personnel, departments, or sites.
- Control the approval and release of part numbers, descriptions, bills of materials, and user access within the ERP-IFS system.
- Participate actively in projects and continuous improvement initiatives with departments such as Quality H&S, Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing, and IT.
- Conduct training sessions related to document control tasks where needed.
- Perform internal audits and identify improvement opportunities concerning Document Control and Electronic Management Systems.
- Support administrative tasks, including generating regular reports like KPIs and audit feedback for management reviews.
- Fulfill additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- A third-level qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in document control or a technical/scientific role within manufacturing, with familiarity in ERP/MRP systems such as IFS or SAP.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong accuracy capabilities.
- Ability to organize, maintain meticulous records, and employ methodical work practices.
- Self-driven, energetic, and well-organized professional.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High competence in analytical thinking and time management.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
