Global Business Services Overview

Global Business Services provides centralized Technology and Operations support across Bank of America’s business lines and staff functions through a globally integrated delivery framework focused on operational excellence, risk management, and innovation. In India, operations are conducted via BA Continuum India Private Limited across five locations.

Role Summary

The Data Infrastructure & Strategic Initiatives team oversees automation in testing processes, data quality assurance, and independent testing of corporate and business process controls. This role involves working closely with test leads, control owners, and partners to ensure robust data governance, data movement accuracy, and effective risk assessment across data lifecycles. This position is dynamic and requires handling varied assignments related to data sourcing, validation, and testing coordination. Note this is not a software development or application testing position.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate on data sourcing forms to capture and review data element requirements for mapping purposes.
• Investigate existing data connections via Trino or identify needs for establishing new ones.
• Engage with application owners to request new data connections, submitting necessary surveys.
• Coordinate with technology teams to initiate JIRA tickets for connection tasks and track progress for availability in the UAT environment.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing to verify accurate mapping of data elements per specifications.
• Work with technology teams to manage the release of data connections into the production environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Strong proficiency in SQL querying and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Capacity to produce high-quality deliverables independently with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and oral communication, along with interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and well-organized, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Basic Excel skills complemented by experience or familiarity with Trifacta or Trino platforms.
• Sharp research and analytical capabilities.

Desired Skills

• Experience automating tasks using Excel VBA.
• Python programming knowledge.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and operational risk testing.
• Familiarity with SharePoint design and workflow management.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.

Work Hours and Location

The role operates within one of the two shifts: 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The position is based onsite at Gift/Hyderabad.
