System Maintenance Lead (Singaporean Only)

Role Overview

We seek an experienced System Maintenance Lead to manage, maintain, and ensure the reliable operation of critical IT systems for a community development organization in Singapore. This role requires a hands-on individual capable of overseeing servers, network devices, and security while supporting infrastructure continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support servers, endpoints, and network hardware regularly.
• Oversee operating systems administration including Windows, Linux, and virtual platforms.
• Ensure continuous uptime and operational stability of essential systems.
• Conduct scheduled system checks, apply updates and patches diligently.
• Monitor system health indicators such as CPU, memory, disk usage, and network traffic.
• Verify backups and regularly test restoration procedures.
• Identify potential failures proactively through capacity and health monitoring.
• Respond to hardware, software, and network incidents swiftly with root cause analysis and lasting resolutions.
• Apply security measures including patch management, antivirus updates, and system hardening.
• Manage user accounts and access controls across Active Directory and identity management systems.
• Support compliance audits and monitor security threats continuously.
• Administer virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including asset inventories, network diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assist in implementing changes, upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Collaborate with vendors for service and maintenance support, ensuring SLA adherence.
• Provide user training and operational assistance to maintain service availability.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 5 years' experience in system administration or infrastructure support.
• Proficient with Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, VMware or Hyper-V virtualization.
• Strong problem-solving skills across server, hardware, software, and networks.
• Knowledgeable about system monitoring tools, patching procedures, backup systems, and cybersecurity standards.
• Effective communicator capable of liaising with users, vendors, and technical teams.
