Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position located in Taylors Beach combines storekeeping with driving duties. The Storeman / Driver will be responsible for managing stock receipt, inspection, storage, and the picking and packing of orders, alongside maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse space. Responsibilities include loading and unloading merchandise, preparing goods for delivery, and operating company vehicles to distribute products efficiently and professionally to clients and internal locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle stock receipt, checking accuracy and integrity of goods received.
  • Organize and store stock systematically in the warehouse.
  • Pick and pack customer orders carefully to fulfill shipment requirements.
  • Load and unload product consignments safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare delivery documents and ensure correct dispatch procedures.
  • Drive company vehicles adhering to traffic and safety regulations, making timely deliveries to customers and internal sites.
  • Maintain clear communication with sales and customer service teams regarding order progress.
  • Follow workplace health and safety standards consistently.
  • Care for company vehicles and equipment, ensuring they remain in good condition.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with colleagues and customers at all times.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience performing warehouse duties such as stock receiving, storing, picking, packing, and warehouse organization.
  • Current valid driver's license with a proven safe driving record and experience in driving light commercial vehicles.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and documentation tasks including handling delivery notes and stock record-keeping.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Physical capability for manual handling tasks and strong commitment to occupational health and safety practices.
  • Highly reliable and detail-focused work ethic with effective time management and punctuality.
  • Previous experience in electrical wholesaling, manufacturing, or similar warehouse settings is advantageous.
  • Comfort and familiarity with using basic computer systems or handheld devices for tracking stock and deliveries is a plus.
