Overview
We are seeking a Storekeeper based in West Crescent, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to join our team at W Hotels. This is a full-time, non-management position within the Procurement, Purchasing, and Quality Assurance category. The role requires receiving, staging, and delivering merchandise to the proper departments while ensuring quality and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and organize merchandise by department and mark items appropriately for storage.
- Transport merchandise to designated departments using pallets or carts, stacking items efficiently for storage.
- Complete inventory requisition forms to maintain adequate supply levels and promptly notify managers of low stock situations.
- Receive deliveries, correctly store perishables, perform stock rotation, and inspect items for freshness, quality, cleanliness, and consistency.
- Reject deliveries containing damaged, incorrect, or unacceptable items.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and handling protocols across all food-related areas.
- Clean and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
- Properly dispose of empty pallets, cardboard, and trash by placing them in designated storage areas.
- Report workplace accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor and complete required safety trainings and certifications.
- Adhere to company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, and protect company assets diligently.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues, fostering positive teamwork and collaboration.
- Meet quality assurance standards and expectations consistently.
- Perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking for long periods, moving objects up to 50 pounds independently, and maneuvering in confined or uneven spaces.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
- No licenses or certifications needed.
