Role Overview: Store Leader

The Store Leader is the core of store operations, working alongside assistants to form the leadership team. This role involves executing merchandising and marketing plans, enhancing store profitability, developing team members’ capabilities, and ensuring excellent customer service. Many top managers started in entry-level cashiers or part-time roles and progressed through dedicated training and hands-on learning.

Candidate Profile

• Capable of leading customer service efforts, training, and coaching store employees.
• Committed to high employee retention through recruiting, leadership development, empowerment, and enhancing productivity.
• Skilled in carrying out merchandising and marketing strategies.
• Experience in utilizing profit and loss statements and store reports to drive improvements.
• Knowledgeable in managing cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting loyalty rewards programs.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and well-stocked store environment compliant with health and sanitation standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
• Computer proficiency, preferably with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, or at least one year of retail management experience.
• Valid driver's license with automotive liability insurance as required.
• Capacity to multi-task and physically perform duties including bending, standing, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
