Job Overview

The Stock Take Planner is responsible for overseeing all physical inventory counting activities, ensuring accurate stock measurement and reporting to support inventory visibility and identify causes of stock discrepancies in alignment with the company's goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Store and District Managers to facilitate data related to store inventory cutoff operations.
  • Assist departments in writing off SKUs or entire stores as required by business demands.
  • Develop and maintain the SIM schedule based on internal communications.
  • Define and communicate product groups for stock counting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on inventory and transactions, confirming all sales, DSD (Direct Store Delivery), RTV (Return to Vendor), and DC charges are recorded before stock counts begin.
  • Generate reports including DSD/RTV, transfer in/out, goods in transit (GIT), open transactions, and address bulk sales issues.
  • Hold sales for stores during physical inventory counts until final postings are completed.
  • Follow up on pending invoices and coordinate their resolution with appropriate parties.
  • Produce variance reports before posting and select high variance SKUs for rechecking.
  • Apply necessary corrections and enter final stock count data into the SIM system.
  • Collect data to update the Business Intelligence (BI) system.
  • Compile lists of the top 30 SKUs per location after stock count completion.
  • Complete full reconciliation for stores' second adjustment processes.
  • Prepare and share reports on Fresh Food Inventory, Supplies, and Packaging counts with stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and follow up with stores on correcting incorrect adjustments.
  • Ensure all store stock take results are posted in SIM/RMS according to the monthly schedule.
  • Analyze final stock take results to detect discrepancies, errors, recurring issues, and significant variance or adjustments.

Qualifications and Experience

The candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field and have a minimum of two years' experience in operational financial activities.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong financial and analytical abilities
  • Proficient in English; Arabic language skills preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office applications
