About the Company
The upscale Mövenpick Hotel Doha is a contemporary 4-star property designed for business travellers. It is located on Corniche Road in the Doha Metropolitan Area, around 11 km from Hamad International Airport, close to the business district and opposite the Museum of Islamic Arts.
Role Overview
The Steward role focuses on keeping all kitchen and back-of-house spaces clean, sanitary, and well-organized. The position also ensures that utensils, dishware, glassware, and equipment are cleaned, disinfected, and stored in line with hotel standards.
Key Duties
- Clean and sanitize kitchen tools, dishes, glassware, and other equipment.
- Maintain tidy and hygienic kitchen, dishwashing, and back-of-house areas.
- Handle waste disposal in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Assist the kitchen team with simple cleaning and preparation tasks as required.
- Use cleaning products and equipment correctly and safely.
- Inform the supervisor about broken equipment or any safety concerns.
- Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
- Provide basic operational support to chefs and the wider kitchen team when needed.
- Keep grooming and uniform presentation in line with standards.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a stewarding, kitchen, or cleaning-related job is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices is needed.
- Should work well with others and bring a positive, cooperative attitude.
- Must be physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy items.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn are important.
- Must be available for shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
