Static Equipment & Piping Engineer

Role Overview

As a Static Equipment & Piping Engineer, you will be accountable for the design, construction, and technical management of piping systems, pressure vessels, and other static elements within our industrial heat pump installations. You will develop and validate technical documentation, ensure adherence to relevant standards, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, safe, and compliant solutions from the planning phase to commissioning.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and engineering of piping networks, supporting frames and structures, and static equipment for industrial heat pump technology
• Create and verify piping schematics, isometric drawings, data sheets, specifications, and engineering calculations
• Conduct mechanical design and evaluation of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping parts
• Guarantee conformity with applicable regulations and standards, such as PED, EN 13480, ASME, and AD2000
• Perform stress analyses and assist with the selection of appropriate materials for piping systems
• Coordinate with specialists in process engineering, mechanical design, thermodynamics, and control systems
• Support manufacturing processes including fabrication, inspection, testing, and commissioning
• Review vendor documents and technical quotations
• Take part in HAZOP studies, design reviews, and technical risk evaluations
• Assist with CE marking and compliance certification activities for pressure equipment

Candidate Profile

• Degree holder (Bachelor's or Master's) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience over multiple years in piping and static equipment engineering
• Expertise in pressure equipment directives and international standards
• Preferred experience with industrial heat pumps, refrigeration plants, chemical industry, energy sector, or process industries
• Proficient with CAD and engineering software such as CATIA V5
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills capable of effective cross-functional teamwork
• Fluent in English; German language skills considered a plus
• Self-motivated and capable of thriving in an international, multidisciplinary workplace
