About the role
Uber is looking for a motivated senior-level data analyst to support the Ads team with a strong focus on analytics, automation, and reporting efficiency. This position plays an important part in turning data into strategic insight, simplifying reporting workflows, and helping the business make better decisions through technical expertise in SQL, Python, and API integrations.
Key responsibilities
- Create, refine, and support SQL queries and scripts used to pull, transform, and analyze large datasets.
- Use Python to automate data processes and carry out analysis and extrapolation.
- Connect multiple data sources and APIs to build real-time monitoring and automation capabilities.
- Work closely with teams across functions to support data-informed strategy and business planning.
- Help build, update, and maintain reporting models and dashboards.
- Perform exploratory analysis to surface trends, patterns, and growth opportunities within Uber Ads.
- Contribute to the design and rollout of automation frameworks that improve operational workflows.
Required qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, automation, data science, or a closely related area.
- Hands-on background in data automation.
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong SQL skills for advanced querying and data manipulation; candidates should be prepared for a live SQL assessment during the interview process.
- Strong Python skills focused on data extraction, transformation, and automation; candidates should be prepared for a live Python assessment during the interview process.
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred background
- Knowledge of digital advertising or media analytics.
- Exposure to Python web frameworks such as Flask or Django.
- Experience using GenAI to streamline workflows or support data analysis.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and multiple tasks.
Compensation and benefits
For New York, NY-based roles, the annual base salary is USD 135,000 to USD 150,000. For all US locations, full-time employees may participate in Uber's bonus program and may also receive equity awards and other forms of compensation. Full-time employees are eligible for a 401(k) plan and a range of benefits. Additional benefits information is available through Uber's employee benefits program.
