Role Overview
We are seeking a Solutions Engineer specializing in Global Payroll who will collaborate directly with our go-to-market and internal teams. This role involves partnering closely with Global Payroll Account Executives to support prospective customers in exploring Deel's Global Payroll services, demonstrating platform value and reliability.
The successful candidate will translate complex client requirements into scalable, compliant solutions, contributing from initial discovery through to implementation handoff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to highlight the capabilities and benefits of Deel’s Global Payroll platform, securing technical wins.
- Evaluate prospective clients’ current payroll procedures to suggest optimization opportunities.
- Serve as the technical expert during sales engagements, managing solution discovery, responding to RFPs, conducting platform demos, and leading integration workshops.
- Coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to represent client requirements, speed up closing deals, and enhance value communication.
- Constantly challenge existing processes to identify opportunities for scaling and process improvements.
- Maintain expertise in global payroll regulations, trends, and best practices to enhance offerings continually.
- Support Partnership and Marketing initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in both Mandarin and English.
- At least 4 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer or Pre-Sales Consultant role.
- Prior experience within Global Payroll or HCM organizations.
- Strong understanding of HCM and ERP payroll integrations, particularly with Workday and SuccessFactors.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
- Exceptional presentation skills with a focus on demonstrating value; multilingual abilities are advantageous.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, positive attitude.
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
- Adaptable to fast-paced, start-up environments.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer competitive, fair compensation reflective of job-related factors including experience, skills, and location. Salary ranges are expressed in USD for consistency but localized per country currency equivalencies. Commissions for commercial roles are included in total on-target earnings (OTE).
