About the Role
Beanstalk Consulting specializes in managing outbound campaigns such as cold emails, LinkedIn outreach, and paid advertisements for B2B companies. The founder, Dean Fiacco, is developing a personal brand focused on transparent business operations, showcased through YouTube videos, podcast appearances, and short video clips.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit long-form videos including YouTube episodes, podcasts, and interviews by removing unnecessary pauses, improving flow, and keeping viewers engaged.
- Create short-form clips derived from long-form content or other footage for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), and YouTube Shorts.
- Contribute ideas on content topics, angles, and hooks for upcoming materials.
- Manage the production queue, ensuring raw footage progresses through filming, editing, and posting stages without delay.
- Add platform-appropriate captions, banners, and graphics that blend naturally with content.
- Design and maintain thumbnail templates for consistent branding across long-form uploads.
- Edit video advertisements for paid social media campaigns, handing off finalized creatives to the ads team.
- Provide feedback when clip placement or hooks do not work effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience editing both long-form (e.g., podcasts, interviews) and short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, Shorts).
- Proficient using professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve for longer videos, and CapCut or similar apps for rapid, natural-feeling short clips.
- Strong sense of pacing to identify engaging segments quickly from raw footage.
- Ability to create captions and banners that appear organic to the platform rather than overly polished.
- Comfortable analyzing viewer retention metrics and adjusting edits accordingly.
- Highly organized, capable of independently managing a content production pipeline and developing briefs during progress.
- Clear, prompt communication to flag blocks or delays early.
Desirable Skills
- Experience using AI-driven clipping tools such as Opus Clip, Descript, or Submagic.
- Basic graphic or thumbnail design capabilities using Canva, Photoshop, or similar.
- Some motion graphics experience with After Effects.
- Familiarity with editing video creatives intended for paid social advertising.
- Background editing content for personal brands or solo creators to maintain a consistent voice.
Work Structure and Compensation
This is a contract (1099) position, fully remote with an option to collaborate occasionally onsite in Tampa, Florida. The role begins with approximately 20 hours per week, compensated between $2,000 and $3,000 monthly depending on experience. Opportunities to expand into a full-time role with renegotiated rates exist as content demands grow. The hiring process includes a paid introductory project followed by a 60-day probationary period.
