About the Company
Our client is a US-focused EdTech organization devoted to equipping students with job-ready skills through structured training programs and intensive career bootcamps.
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Trainer with over five years of professional experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering. The role involves leading instructor-led virtual classes, mentoring learners, and crafting industry-aligned curriculum with an emphasis on cloud-native infrastructure, observability, incident management, and AI-assisted operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging online training sessions covering foundational and advanced SRE topics.
- Utilize practical, project-based learning including labs, assignments, and real-world case studies.
- Guide students on building, deploying, and managing automated, reliable, and observable systems.
- Assess learners' assignments and provide actionable feedback.
Required Expertise
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related discipline.
- Proficiency with Linux administration and Shell/Bash scripting.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, and load balancing.
- Programming skills in Python or Go for automation purposes.
- Experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes.
- Competence in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry.
- Familiarity with SLOs, error budgets, on-call practices, and incident management processes.
- Practical exposure to AI-driven incident response, anomaly detection, or automatic remediation.
- Experience dealing with actual production infrastructure or incidents.
- Excellent presentation, communication, mentoring capabilities, and ability to simplify complex technical topics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields.
- Previous experience as a trainer, mentor, or corporate educator is an advantage.
Tools & Technologies
- Linux environment with Git & GitHub.
- Container and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Infrastructure management through Terraform.
- Monitoring and observability via Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry.
- Incident management tools like PagerDuty or Opsgenie.
- CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Cloud services from AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Additional Details
