Signage Fabrication and Installation Technician

Job Location and Overview

Position based in Doha, Qatar, requiring full-time, on-site commitment. Candidates should have 4 to 5 years of relevant experience, with preference given to those with prior GCC work exposure. Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and basic communication is necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install a variety of indoor and outdoor signage solutions.
• Interpret technical drawings, layouts, and installation plans to ensure precise execution.
• Accurately measure, cut, assemble, and finish signage elements using standard tools and equipment.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application, ensuring correct alignment and quality finish.
• Apply self-adhesive vinyl graphics on diverse materials such as acrylic, glass, metals, composite panels, and vehicles.
• Perform mounting, laminating, trimming, and finishing of printed graphics to meet production standards.
• Install illuminated signage including 3D channel letters, lightboxes, directional signs, and commercial branding components.
• Execute ACP cladding installation and associated finishing tasks when needed.
• Ensure safe installation at client sites aligned with occupational safety protocols.
• Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to guarantee quality and compliance with project specifications.
• Collaborate efficiently with production and installation teams to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workplace cleanliness and organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 4 to 5 years’ experience in signage fabrication and installation.
• Experience working on commercial, retail, or advertising signage projects.
• Skilled in vinyl application, graphic finishing, and assembly techniques.
• Practical expertise in installing illuminated signs, channel letters, lightboxes, and ACP cladding.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical and installation schematics.
• Familiarity with workshop tools, fabrication machinery, and installation methods.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capable of independent work and effective teamwork.
• Basic proficiency in English communication.
• GCC experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
