About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Shift Manager to supervise daily activities at our café in Rajouri Garden, New Delhi. This position reports to the Area Operation Manager and focuses on delivering superior customer service, managing staff effectively, ensuring food safety compliance, and meeting operational goals during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations within the café during your shift ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Maintain high standards for customer satisfaction, addressing customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and effectively.
- Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and safety standards for food and beverages.
- Lead the café team by assigning tasks, managing schedules, motivating staff, and training new members on standard operating procedures, service, and hygiene.
- Monitor employee attendance, conduct, and grooming consistently.
- Drive sales performance through upselling strategies and uphold excellence in service.
- Manage cash handling processes, billing accuracy, shift closures, and assist in inventory management and stock control.
- Guarantee adherence to food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and company SOPs with routine quality and safety inspections.
- Prepare detailed shift and cash reports, manage handovers, and collaborate closely with the Store Manager to address staffing and operational needs.
- Promptly report any maintenance or safety issues to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferably a Graduate or Diploma holder in Hospitality or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in café, quick service restaurant (QSR), or restaurant operations.
- Previous exposure as a Team Leader or Shift Supervisor is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership qualities with solid team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving and effective decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems and accurate cash handling.
Work Conditions
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Capability to stand for extended hours as required by operational demands.
