Job Overview
This position requires residency within Colorado. The Senior Territory Manager (Sr. TM) plays a crucial role in expanding Inogen's presence by engaging with physicians and discharge planners to generate patient referrals. Operating as a product and clinical expert, the incumbent collaborates closely with regional and national sales leadership to meet corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the promotion and expansion of Inogen's product offerings by securing referrals and growing sales in new and existing accounts.
- Dedicate 90% of time visiting physician offices and hospitals within the assigned territory.
- Achieve or surpass monthly targets for sales calls and quotas.
- Keep comprehensive records of all sales and client interactions.
- Develop and implement detailed sales plans with strategic and tactical initiatives to realize successful outcomes.
- Support insurance submissions by assisting in the compilation of medical records.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and protocols.
- Collaborate across teams to foster performance improvements and growth initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison among different departments as needed, representing the Prescriber Channel.
- Guide other Territory Managers by making independent decisions and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, providing retraining when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional presentation and communication abilities, both written and oral.
- Preferably has experience in respiratory-related referral sales with a proven record of success.
- Experience engaging with the senior demographic (65+) is advantageous.
- A proactive 'hunter' mentality to identify and secure new referral opportunities.
- Strong work ethic capable of sustaining a full workday including cold calls and client visits.
- Competence in conducting comprehensive office sales calls, product demonstrations, in-services, and presenting clinical studies to healthcare providers.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
- Associate degree preferred in Sales, Technical, Business, Clinical, or related fields; clinical credentials (RT, RN) are favored.
- Territory Manager level requires 2–3 years of medical referral sales experience; Senior Territory Manager requires 3 or more years.
- Microsoft Office proficiency: basic for Territory Manager, intermediate for Senior Territory Manager.
- Equivalent combinations of training, education, and experience are acceptable.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base salary range is $71,000 to $85,199 annually, supplemented by variable pay according to the Sales Commission Plan. Actual salary is individualized, based on skills, education, experience, and market factors. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and generous paid leave options including vacation, sick leave, and paid volunteer time.
