About the role
Re-Leased is working to redefine commercial real estate with a new AI-first product called am:pm, designed to act as a knowledge hub for property operators. The product brings together communications, document context, and prior decisions so responses can be drafted with the full history of a portfolio in view. It is already in early access with customers, and the team is small, the technology is fresh, and the pace is fast.
This position is for an intermediate to senior engineer who can join the am:pm squad from Napier or remotely from another city in New Zealand. You will build customer-facing features end to end, working across Vue 3 on the front end and .NET 8 services on Azure, while using AI coding tools such as Claude Code as part of your everyday development process.
The environment is similar to an early-stage startup, but within an established SaaS company: there is less process, more ownership, and quick feedback from real users.
What you'll do
- Deliver full-stack product features that create meaningful value for customers, spanning Vue 3 interfaces and .NET 8 services on Azure.
- Use AI development tools, including Claude Code, as an essential part of your workflow to increase speed while maintaining quality.
- Work closely with product, design, and customers to decide what should be built next, not only how it should be implemented.
- Investigate and resolve production problems promptly, then make the necessary improvements so the same issues do not recur.
- Help shape the technical direction of a new product, including how AI-enabled capabilities are designed and assessed.
- Raise the capability of teammates by supporting, mentoring, and sharing knowledge.
What you need
- At least 3 years of full-stack software engineering experience in a SaaS product setting.
- Hands-on experience with Vue.js 3 and Shadcn UI, including the Composition API, TypeScript, and current front-end tooling.
- Strong back-end capability in .NET 8 / C# and SQL Server.
- Experience delivering software on Microsoft Azure, with exposure to infrastructure as code using Terraform and to Azure DevOps pipelines preferred.
- Regular use of AI coding tools in day-to-day development, along with clear views on how to use them effectively.
- Comfort with uncertainty, changing priorities, and making decisions with incomplete information in small-team, early-product environments.
- A strong orientation toward customer outcomes rather than code output alone.
- Preferred background building LLM-based features such as prompt design, evaluation, retrieval, and agent workflows.
- Preferred experience in startups or zero-to-one product development.

The product is built with .NET 8, Vue 3, SQL Server, and a growing set of AI services on Microsoft Azure. The squad also handles its own DevOps setup, using Terraform for infrastructure as code and Azure DevOps for pipelines.
