Senior Procurement Operations Lead

Overview

The Senior Procurement Operations Lead serves as a critical business partner for the Procurement leadership at the Aurangabad Manufacturing plant, part of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s Goodyear Technology Centre in Hyderabad. This role bridges local procurement operations, plant manufacturing teams, global strategic sourcing, and global shared services to ensure alignment and fulfillment of business objectives and procurement financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all procurement functions related to plant operations including Energy/Utilities, MRO (engineering spares, operating supplies), manufacturing services, professional services, capital goods, and waste management.
• Implement sourcing strategies consistent with Global Indirect category strategies tailored for the Aurangabad plant.
• Develop and execute negotiation plans for local contracts, taking ownership of complex or critical negotiations to achieve cost savings for the plant.
• Maintain effective communication across all organizational levels to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Build and maintain relationships with local and regional suppliers in alignment with the global procurement supplier segmentation strategy.
• Drive the efficiency and success of Procurement Operations savings initiatives across all indirect categories for the Aurangabad plant.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory.
• At least 14 years of experience in procurement within large-scale, multinational or multi-geography organizations focused on Indirect Procurement categories including MRO, utilities, capital expenditures, and services.
• Minimum 5 years in team management roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management for all indirect categories, and procurement operations.
• Proven expertise in change management and leading cross-functional projects.
• Industry experience in tire manufacturing or related sectors is preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills, adept at applying strategic sourcing processes, project and change management.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Advanced ability to interpret and analyze financial statements.
• Fluency in English and local languages with strong financial, statistical analysis, organizational, and Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with procurement systems, policies, SAP SRM, and proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of importing spares and related materials.
