Senior Planner

Role Overview

We invite applications from experienced planners aiming to advance into a Senior Planner role within a premier engineering and infrastructure consultancy. Key Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 and MS Project tools.
• Develop cost-loaded and resource-loaded schedules, alongside forecasts and progress reporting.
• Oversee programme baselines, critical paths, identify risks, manage constraints, and coordinate interface points.
• Support contractual procedures including NEC early warnings and compensation event processes.
• Lead planning workshops and meetings with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Conduct scenario planning exercises, delay analyses, and assess schedule quality.
• Integrate scheduling, cost, and risk information to assist in informed decision making.
• Produce dashboards and advanced reports, including application of Earned Value Management techniques.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in civil engineering sectors, particularly in infrastructure or large-scale construction settings.
• Technical proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, and familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 contract frameworks.
• Strong analytical capabilities and effective communication skills.
• Qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields are advantageous.
• Additional experience in rail projects and client-side roles is beneficial.
