Role Overview

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be based onsite in Spiddal, County Galway and will play a pivotal role in leading engineering efforts within manufacturing operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and nurture a team of Engineers and Technicians to cultivate collaboration, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
  • Integrate engineering resources effectively into daily production support and strategic operational enhancements.
  • Establish and achieve engineering objectives that align with the company's business strategy and manufacturing priorities.
  • Develop and execute training and development plans to enhance team capabilities and future succession.
  • Implement and maintain durable technical and systems solutions for manufacturing challenges.

  • Consistently meet or exceed customer requirements, ensuring high standards in quality, service, and delivery.
  • Lead initiatives to improve service, delivery, quality, and cost efficiency by applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Manage New Part Introduction (NPI) activities in close partnership with prototyping and NPI teams.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a Level 8 degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • At least five years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment post-qualification.
  • Proven leadership experience including coaching, performance management, and team development.
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives using systematic problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into tangible improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
