Senior Fullstack Engineer

Role overview

We are hiring for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join an Australian SaaS business that is in a strong growth phase. The company has recently expanded its engineering function and is continuing to scale its platform across local and international markets.

The product supports automotive repair businesses by helping them run operations more efficiently. The team is actively building AI-driven features such as smarter estimating, workflow automation, and business intelligence tools.

This position offers real involvement in product direction, technical choices, and the customer experience as the platform continues to evolve.

About the role

This is a hands-on senior engineering role for someone who likes to stay close to real business problems, not only implementation. You will work across the full product journey: understanding user needs, collaborating on solution design, developing scalable software, and supporting features through to production.

The ideal person is curious, practical, and comfortable tackling complex problems. You should be able to break down customer or business challenges and work with others to design the right technical approach.

You will contribute across both frontend and backend work, with flexibility depending on your strengths.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship customer-facing functionality across the full technology stack
• Convert product goals and user pain points into scalable technical solutions
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to define and refine new features
• Build and improve modern SaaS products used in Australia and the UK
• Help deliver AI-based capabilities, including automation and data-led insights
• Own features from early discovery through development, testing, and release
• Solve engineering problems with an emphasis on clarity, scalability, and customer value
• Participate in architecture conversations and technical decision-making
• Contribute to better engineering practices, tools, and team workflows
• Use AI tools thoughtfully to improve productivity while maintaining strong engineering judgement

Technical environment

The stack includes C#, .NET Core, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, CI/CD, and modern cloud-based SaaS architecture.

About you

You are an experienced engineer who enjoys building products that solve real-world problems.

We are looking for someone with strong commercial experience in C# and .NET Core, along with hands-on experience building customer-facing software or SaaS products. Familiarity with React, TypeScript, or similar frontend technologies is important.

You should bring a product-oriented mindset, meaning you think about the reason behind the work as well as the requirement itself. Strong analytical thinking, comfort with ambiguity, and a collaborative approach are essential.

You should also be capable of working independently, owning outcomes, and adapting as the product changes. An interest in AI-assisted development workflows is a plus.

Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, or infrastructure is valued, but the main priority is a sharp thinker who communicates well and builds high-quality software.

Location and working arrangement
