Senior Financial Analyst

Role Overview

CGI is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for its Bangalore office. This position works on US shift timings, including night shift hours, and requires 2 to 4 years of relevant FP&A experience.

What You Will Do

• Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle by building financial plans that are well documented and backed by solid analysis.
• Partner with business unit teams to understand their operations, explain financial drivers, and test the assumptions behind forecasts and budgets.
• Review financial performance against budget and forecast, and provide timely, accurate, and meaningful analysis.
• Handle project and client financials in line with contract requirements, including understanding contract terms, the financial effect of changes, and related technical accounting implications.
• Prepare and present financial results with clear and relevant commentary for business unit stakeholders.
• Examine balance sheet entries and help ensure the balance sheet remains accurate and complete.
• Support audit requests, contribute to special projects, and look for opportunities to improve efficiency through continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA qualification, or progress toward CPA, is preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar finance business partner or financial analyst role.
• Strong computer skills, especially in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with tools such as PeopleSoft and Hyperion (Oracle) is an added advantage.
