Senior Financial Analyst - Cargo

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the business through comprehensive financial analyses including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, and developing financial business cases such as investments and insourcing vs outsourcing. A key focus will be on adding value to enhance decision-making and streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models leveraging various quantitative methods; analyze and report actual revenues and costs, including root-cause variance analysis for monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders and business units to identify and implement improvements in financial processes.
• Conduct timely ad hoc revenue and cost analyses for senior management in Finance.
• Develop and regularly report business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) alongside business partners.
• Ensure alignment of financial accounting reporting with corporate and finance standards.
• Enhance reporting processes pertaining to route profitability, financial accounting, and management reporting.
• Evaluate annual budget proposals to ensure consistency with strategic management objectives and targets.
• Monitor expenditures to meet cost of sales targets and recommend cost control measures.
• Assess business case proposals aimed at generating additional revenue or reducing costs.
• Review contracts and agreements to verify financial compliance.
• Consolidate and analyze departmental financial results monthly and annually during budgeting cycles.
• Perform other finance department tasks as directed by management.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience working as a financial analyst.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact at all organizational levels.
• Keen attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities to interpret financial variances, understand business cycles, and their impacts on profit and loss.
• Fluency in English language.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities including interruptions, and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Innovative thinker with strong motivation and problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of internal finance systems and knowledge of cost centre accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Airline industry experience is preferred.
