Job description
About the Role
The Salvation Army Reintegration Service in Dunedin supports individuals recently released from prison by providing temporary housing and comprehensive assistance to facilitate their successful reentry into society.
This position requires dedicated one-on-one case management of assigned clients, ensuring continuous support as they transition back into the community. The role involves close collaboration with Community Probation services and various government and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities and Attributes
- Provide leadership and effectively collaborate within a team environment.
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Apply previous experience managing crisis situations to support clients.
- Monitor and oversee programs to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Engage and contribute from a bicultural perspective with an understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to social justice principles.
- Align with and uphold the mission and values of The Salvation Army.
- Maintain current First Aid certification and a full driver's license.
- Be willing and able to undertake occasional out-of-town travel.
Additional Information
This is a permanent full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (or as needed).
The initial salary range is between NZD 67,337 and 71,877 per annum.
