Role Overview
The Senior Estimator will be instrumental in securing new projects and ensuring their successful initiation. This role is critical to bidding and pricing for a diverse range of major developments including Data Centres, Commercial Towers, Large Residential complexes, and Education sector projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and submission of detailed and competitive tender and pricing proposals.
- Build and maintain strong working partnerships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate prices with contractors and suppliers to achieve optimal value.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date cost databases and benchmarking records.
- Conduct tender presentations and lead interview processes.
- Develop and finalize construction budgets before project handover to execution teams.
- Provide mentorship and support to estimators, fostering their professional growth.
- Continuously enhance estimating methodologies, processes, and systems.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior estimator roles within Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction companies.
- Demonstrated success in pricing medium to large scale building projects.
- Strong commercial awareness and capability in managing stakeholder relationships.
- Proficient with advanced estimating tools such as CostX and EstimateOne.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods and procurement techniques.
- Collaborative leadership approach with a strong commitment to mentoring team members.
