Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Director to lead Customer Success and Solutions Engineering across the EMEA region. This role entails managing and motivating a skilled team devoted to enhancing long-term customer value. The primary focus is to unify technical pre-sales and post-sales success, driving customer lifetime value through strategic planning and operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and expand a regional team including Managers, Customer Success Engineers, Solution Engineers, Solution Specialists, and Value Engineering professionals.
- Optimize the Customer Success Engineering function by developing strategies to increase product adoption, minimize integration risks, and identify growth opportunities across diverse European markets.
- Guide the Solutions Engineering team to design customer-centric solutions that support revenue growth and operational efficiency.
- Ensure seamless transitions from Professional Services and Project Management teams to deliver high-quality implementations collaboratively.
- Build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships with key customer contacts.
- Manage KPIs, milestones, and long-term objectives aligned with company goals related to revenue and profitability.
- Accurately forecast potential at-risk accounts and devise plans to enhance customer retention.
- Collaborate with Product leadership to maintain effective two-way feedback channels with customers.
- Develop initiatives fostering a learning culture to attract, retain, and grow top talent.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience in senior leadership, managing managers within technical post-sales teams in B2B SaaS environments.
- Proven success in leading technical teams such as Customer Success Engineering, Technical Account Managers, or Post-Sales Solutions Architecture, with a record of achieving adoption, implementation, and retention targets. Experience in Solutions Engineering leadership is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and scale teams across multiple countries simultaneously in Europe.
- Experience launching and growing new technical teams, functions, or geographical markets.
- Work experience that balances large, established SaaS enterprise environments with dynamic, high-growth settings.
- Direct involvement with Artificial Intelligence technologies, particularly implementing AI solutions that enhance customer value.
- Experience leading teams through organizational changes during rapid growth periods.
- In-depth understanding of recurring revenue business models and proven history of managing strategic executive relationships.
- Strong collaborative and strategic leadership skills capable of motivating diverse, dispersed teams.
- Willingness to travel within the EMEA region as required.
- Knowledge of the Construction industry is beneficial.
- Additional European language proficiency (French, Spanish, German, or Polish) is a plus.
Compensation Details
The base salary for this position ranges from €160,000 to €220,000 annually for Dublin-based candidates, and £153,600 to £211,200 annually for London-based candidates. On-target earnings may reach €200,000 to €275,000 annually. This role may also be eligible for equity and bonus incentives. Compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, education, and location.
