About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant fluent in Arabic to join a government sector organization based in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting with at least three years of professional experience, preferably within the UAE, and will be proficient in Arabic and English.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, review, and prepare detailed financial records and accounting transactions.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures accurately and timely.
- Generate financial reports, perform reconciliations, and prepare management reports.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning activities.
- Liaise and coordinate with both internal and external audit teams.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and oversee general ledger activities.
- Support the finance department in process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of hands-on accounting experience, with preference given to candidates with UAE experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English languages.
