Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Gain a foundational understanding of various legal agreements including ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annex, different types of Repurchase Agreements (MRA, GMRA), Securities Loan Agreements (MSLA, GMSLA), and Prime Brokerage Agreements.
- Perform digitization and codification of these legal contracts.
- Comprehend and capture critical attributes associated with these agreements, such as agreement date, governing law, master agreement versions, cross-default provisions, counterparty details, downgrade triggers, transfer restrictions, and termination rights.
- Remediate and validate data connected to legal attributes, with a focus also on LIBOR-related remediation.
- Handle data capture, cataloging, processing, system inputs, reconciliations, settlements, and fund transfers linked to trade life cycles.
- Create reports primarily using MS Excel.
- Engage with external stakeholders including agents, counterparties, and clients over phone or email to clarify queries or resolve discrepancies.
- Identify risks and escalate pertinent issues promptly to clients.
Requirements and Skills
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Business Management (BBM/BBA) or a Master’s degree such as M.Com, MBA, or PGDM.
- Have 2-3 years of experience in investment banking with basic knowledge of finance, trade life cycles, and derivatives.
- Demonstrate strong logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude skills to extract insights from data.
- Experience in data-related tasks such as cataloging, processing, reconciliations, and system updates within a financial domain.
