Role Overview
The Senior Analyst will deliver expert cost analysis and quantity surveying services for construction and engineering projects, collaborating closely with project leaders and clients. Responsibilities include creating and evaluating cost estimates, performing benchmark and variance analyses, assisting with tender assessments, and contributing to comprehensive cost plans and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and scrutinize detailed cost estimates and reports.
- Conduct benchmark and variance analyses to evaluate financial performance.
- Support the evaluation of project tenders for informed decision-making.
- Analyze project data to identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Enhance internal cost assessment methodologies and support process improvements.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong expertise in quantity surveying, cost engineering, or project financial analysis, including interpreting technical drawings and bills of quantities.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, cost management software, and BI dashboards for developing estimates and variance reports.
- In-depth knowledge of construction and infrastructure project lifecycles covering budgeting, tendering, contract management, and change control.
- Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to clarify complex cost data effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience working within multidisciplinary teams and client presentations.
- Educational background in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related disciplines.
- Desirable professional certifications from recognized institutions like RICS or AIQS and prior work exposure in Singapore's construction sector.
- Ability to operate independently in hybrid work settings, managing diverse priorities and deadlines efficiently.
