Role Overview
Reporting directly to the VP- Group Finance, the Senior Accounts Executive will be responsible for delivering accurate and punctual financial reporting, supporting budgeting and planning efforts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards across multiple countries. This role involves collaborating with external accounting firms and understanding multi-jurisdictional accounting regulations for smooth third-party coordination.
Key Duties
- Manage General Ledger accounting functions, ensuring precise recording of financial transactions and maintenance of current records.
- Lead the month-end closing process independently, including preparing financial statements and conducting financial analyses.
- Assist in coordinating statutory audits to guarantee adherence to audit requirements.
- Review and approve invoices and expenses, manage journal entry postings in Zoho Books.
- Support budget creation and monitoring; perform Balance Sheet reconciliations, MIS reporting, and bank reconciliations.
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare requested reports for local and international managers.
- Analyze trial balances to detect inconsistencies and make correcting adjustments.
- Handle accounting responsibilities for various international entities.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional internal teams and external vendors to support financial and corporate objectives.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Candidate Qualifications
- Inter CA qualification preferred with completed articleship experience.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a B2C environment.
- Experience managing accounts for multinational organizations, especially with operations in the UK, UAE, or USA, is highly advantageous.
- Prior exposure to financial operations in startup or scaleup companies is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Proficiency with MS Office and practical knowledge of Zoho Books.
- Strong understanding of Indian and international taxation rules, statutory filings, and tax calculations.
- Excellent analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with peers and partner firms across countries.
- A proactive and responsible attitude with a readiness to take ownership and accountability.
