Senior Accountant

Role Overview

A finance team is looking for a seasoned Senior Accountant with experience in the real estate sector to support expanding operations and improve financial processes. This position focuses on end-to-end accounting, reliable financial reporting, and helping evaluate the financial health of property development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete accounting cycle, including posting journal entries, maintaining ledgers, performing reconciliations, and handling month-end and year-end closures.
• Draft and assess financial statements, management-level reports, and project-specific analyses for real estate developments.
• Track project budgets, control costs, manage cash flow, and assess profitability across several property projects.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and internal teams to maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory obligations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time.
• Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, and variance reviews for current and future projects.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline and bring 4 to 7 years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate or property development. A solid grasp of accounting fundamentals, financial reporting, and project accounting is essential, along with hands-on exposure to accounting systems and ERP tools. Strong analytical ability, accuracy, and comfort working with complex financial information are also important.
