Senior Accountant

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. This role involves managing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and compliance with relevant accounting and tax standards. Candidates should have between 5 to 7 years of accounting experience and be proficient in tax regulations, ERP systems like Tally, and financial software.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting processes including billing, accounts receivable and payable, and maintaining the general ledger.
• Prepare and scrutinize financial statements to guarantee their accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to accounting principles and statutory requirements such as GST, TDS, and other tax regulations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow evaluations to aid strategic financial planning.
• Compile and coordinate data for filing GST and TDS returns, collaborate with auditors for internal audit processes in India, file VAT returns for UAE, and assist in completing annual audit closures.
• Supervise final account preparations including Trial Balance, Cash Flow statements, Profit & Loss accounts, and Balance Sheets.
• Manage daily accounting activities including bank and cash vouchers, journal entries, invoice processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Administer payroll processing, salary computations, and ensure compliance with legal payroll obligations such as Provident Fund and ESIC.
• Generate and deliver various Management Information System (MIS) reports to senior leadership for informed strategic decisions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a B. Com, M. Com, MBA in Finance or Accounting, or be an Intermediate Chartered Accountant (Inter CA).
• Have 5 to 7 years of relevant senior accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and proficient with accounting software such as Tally ERP or SAP.
• Experience in the fintech sector is advantageous.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Exhibit effective communication and interpersonal skills capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Adaptable to learning new technologies and workflows.
