Security Monitor

About the Role

Amentum is looking for Security Monitors based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. The role entails supervising contractors and visitors to ensure restricted site access compliance. You will be responsible for guaranteeing that visitors and contractors perform activities solely within authorized areas and adhere to site security and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and control the movement of un-cleared personnel and visitors within the site.
• Prevent access of un-cleared individuals to sensitive materials and unauthorized zones.
• Use hand-held radio communication to liaise with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure that unauthorized personnel do not bring or utilize electronic devices on-site without proper Joint Security Staff authorization.
• Brief and ensure visitors follow evacuation, lockdown, and security procedures.
• Prevent theft or unauthorized removal of facility property.
• Perform duties under harsh weather conditions as required.
• Engage in prolonged periods of standing, sitting, walking, and stair climbing.
• Provide assistance in operational areas such as Cleaning, Food Services, and Trades when requested by management.
• Carry out other security-related tasks as directed by Security Management.

Candidate Requirements

• U.S. citizenship with TS/SCI clearance or Australian citizenship with Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance.
• Compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Adaptability and flexibility to evolving work demands.
• Strong commitment to completing tasks thoroughly.
• Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism with minimal oversight.
• Maintain an appearance and demeanor reflecting security and safety awareness.
• Completion of White Card Training (Construction Induction) is required.
• Understanding and dedication to safety and security principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in security roles is advantageous.

Additional Job Conditions

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.
