Security Architect - Secure by Design

About the Role

Join the dynamic Cyber Security division to safeguard Macquarie Group's corporate assets and information. The Secure by Design team collaborates with internal and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycles, offering security guidance, crafting security architectures and designs, and evaluating project security implementations. This team stays updated on global security trends and innovates security solutions through partnerships and vendor engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with technical delivery teams and business units to integrate security into evolving technologies including cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), container orchestration, and automation tools.
• Advise various stakeholders regarding security risks, their severity, and necessary remediation steps.
• Review existing security capabilities and recommend enhancements to improve the organization's security posture.
• Collaborate on developing security architecture patterns to address emerging threats and business needs.

Candidate Profile

• More than 7 years of experience in cybersecurity technical design and architecture roles.
• Expertise in formal security architecture encompassing both logical and physical design elements.
• Strong knowledge of third-party risk management, security best practices, and secure software development to support full project lifecycles using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Background in software development, engineering, configuration, operation, or design of security solutions.
• Proficiency with public cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, and associated technologies is advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of AI security concepts, including model protection, identity and access management, and adversarial risk assessment.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, the threat landscape, and frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, and ISO.
• Relevant certifications like SABSA, CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, SANS, CEH, OSCP, and cloud platform certificates are highly regarded but not mandatory.
