Team Overview

The antibody team focuses on the engineering and development of antibodies, emphasizing high reagent quality and specificity. Key activities include design, purification, conjugation, and testing of antibodies across diverse immunoassay applications using advanced technologies. The objective is to develop products along with detailed product information to enhance research use.

Role and Responsibilities

• Contribute as part of the molecular biology core team supporting antibody development by advancing innovative molecular biology methods aimed at enabling high throughput recombinant antibody platforms.
• Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, primer and vector design, DNA and RNA extraction and analysis, and high throughput cloning.
• Plan and execute experiments meticulously to achieve program objectives.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of results using data sheets and laboratory notebooks.
• Stay updated by regularly reviewing scientific literature related to antibody development.
• Compile and present experimental data in written reports and oral presentations; actively participate in team discussions.
• Maintain strict attention to detail and adhere to project timelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent with 0-4 years of experience, or recently submitted PhD in life sciences focusing on molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry.
• Strong practical knowledge of molecular biology techniques: PCR, primer and vector design, DNA/RNA extraction and analysis, and advanced cloning methods.
• Experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) including library preparation and sequencer operation.
• Skilled in bioinformatic analysis of sequencing data, especially antibody sequencing.
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R is advantageous.
• Exposure to immunoassays such as ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
• Desirable experience with antibody development platforms including hybridoma, display technologies, single B cell technology, and other antibody engineering techniques.
• Experience in high throughput methods and automation considered a plus.
• Capability to develop new protocols and workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for technical challenges.
• Adaptability to fast-paced research settings.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and statistical software like Prism.
