Role Overview
The Scheduler Abstractor is entrusted with a variety of clerical and communication tasks vital to smooth healthcare operations. This role involves managing patient appointments, procedure coding using Envision software, patient billing, daily record reconciliation, outline post-procedure data abstraction, and maintaining monthly statistical reports. Additionally, the position includes providing price quotes, verifying insurance details and authorizations, maintaining communication journals, and acting as a liaison between physicians and patients. The employee may also be tasked with other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Experience in scheduling and administrative duties is favored.
Work Details
- Location: Mease Dunedin facility.
- Status: Full-time, non-exempt.
- Shift: Day shift, typically an 8-hour duration; timing may vary.
- Weekend work and on-call duties are not required.
- Work arrangement: Hybrid model allowing for remote work on occasion.
