Role Overview

This full-time scaffolder position, based on-site in the United Arab Emirates, entails the assembly, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolding frameworks within marine and industrial environments. The incumbent will interpret technical schematics and implement established safety standards. Daily duties involve evaluating work zones; measuring and cutting materials; fitting scaffolding parts together; and carrying out pre-use inspections to verify structural integrity. Close collaboration with supervisors and multidisciplinary teams is essential, alongside maintaining clear communication. The scaffolder must adhere to both company and local safety regulations diligently.

Key Responsibilities

• Proper erection, alteration, and removal of scaffolding according to technical plans and safety criteria.
• Evaluate and measure work sites to ensure appropriate scaffold setup.
• Conduct thorough pre-use inspections confirming the scaffolding’s stability and safety.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they remain in optimal working order.
• Report any hazards, damages, or defects promptly to supervisory staff.
• Document scaffolding-related activities accurately and timely.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to ensure efficient progress.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in scaffolding installation, modification, and dismantling within industrial or marine contexts.
• Ability to read and interpret scaffolding plans, layouts, and operational instructions with precision.
• Familiarity with scaffolding safety standards, fall protection protocols, and risk mitigation.
• Physically capable of working at heights, handling materials, and performing labor-intensive tasks under varied weather and site conditions.
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices and proactive in hazard reporting.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well within diverse teams.
• Possession of relevant scaffolding certifications or trade qualifications; additional safety or working-at-height credentials are advantageous.
• Experience working in the UAE or similar regional industrial/marine environments is a plus.
