Sanitation Technician

Job Overview

This role involves ensuring that the facility and warehouse maintain a clean and secure environment by following established Preferred Work Methods (PWM).

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash and debris in warehouse and dock zones.
• Address and clean up any spills of products or foreign materials promptly.
• Operate equipment such as power scrubbers, sweepers, and walk-behind scrubbers used in warehouse cleaning.
• Clean various warehouse surfaces including walls, floors, shelving, and doors.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility building, including the grounds, lighting, and parking areas.
• Sanitize restrooms, office spaces, employee break rooms, and locker rooms.
• Adhere to daily cleaning schedules assigned by supervisors to sustain consistent sanitation.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment throughout the warehouse.
• Perform any additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma, General Education Development (GED), or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in sanitation within a warehouse setting is strongly preferred.
• The job requires frequent use of hands and fingers with dexterity, as well as speaking and hearing abilities.
• Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and sensory capabilities like tasting and smelling.
• Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Vision requirements include close range, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
