About the Role
At ASB Bank, we strive to empower our customers with the tools to stay "One Step Ahead," supporting their life plans and future goals. Our products are integral to New Zealand's economy and impact people's daily lives. We are seeking a Salesforce Software Specialist to join our Lend and Protect Tribe, contributing to the development and maintenance of our nCino solution built on the Salesforce Platform.
In this role, you will take ownership of all programmatic requests, collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. Working within an agile Engineering Practice, you will engage in autonomous, skill-enhancing work that improves customer outcomes. Our T-Shaped team model ensures exposure to various engineering aspects daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate business and technical requirements alongside the Squad, considering security, scalability, and platform limits.
- Leverage extensive APEX programming skills to enhance Salesforce solutions.
- Design and implement flows aligned with business needs.
- Advance the nCino implementation on Salesforce with custom developments.
- Create custom user interfaces, including Lightning Web Components.
- Follow Salesforce best practices by maintaining code documentation, writing and updating test classes for all custom code.
- Manage user access, including new user setups, deactivations, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, organization-wide defaults, and sharing rules.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years delivering Salesforce projects.
- Competence in writing, interpreting, and reviewing technical specifications.
- A proactive approach to improving Salesforce systems and bringing legacy code up to best practice standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for requirements gathering and clearly communicating solutions to stakeholders.
- Experience adopting a DevSecOps mindset in solution development.

- Salesforce Certifications.
- nCino Certifications.
