About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and technically knowledgeable Sales Executive to engage in selling and providing after-sales support for heavy machinery including Backhoe Loaders, Compactors, and Diesel Generator (DG) sets. This role demands strong expertise in construction and power equipment, excellent interpersonal skills, and a focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within construction, infrastructure, industrial, mining, government, and equipment rental sectors.
- Promote and sell products such as Backhoe Loaders, Compactors, and Diesel Generator sets through demonstrations and detailed technical explanations.
- Prepare quotations, engage in negotiation, and close sales successfully to meet set monthly and yearly targets.
- Analyze market trends, keep track of competitors, and understand customer needs to maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Deliver regular sales performance updates to management.
- Provide comprehensive after-sales service including equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, planned maintenance, and warranty management.
- Recommend spare parts, service contracts, and equipment upgrades to customers, ensuring prompt resolution of any technical issues.
- Build enduring customer relationships through regular engagement, technical training, and coordinated support with internal teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile Engineering, or related disciplines.
- 0 to 5 years in sales roles related to construction machinery, heavy equipment, diesel generators, or industrial machinery, with fresh graduates possessing strong technical skills and communication also considered.
- Experience with well-known brands such as JCB, CASE, CAT, Volvo CE, Komatsu, ACE, Mahindra Construction Equipment, Escorts Kubota, Cummins, Kirloskar, Mahindra Powerol, or Caterpillar is advantageous.
Skills Required
- In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and diesel generator technology.
- Competence in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical problems.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.
- Strong customer-centric mindset and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites and a valid driver’s license is preferred.
Performance Indicators
- Meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Maintaining high customer satisfaction and retention rates.
- Timely response and resolution of service requests.
- Expansion of spare parts sales and service revenues.
- Acquisition of new customers and punctual reporting.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary in the range of 16,000 to 33,000 INR per month, commensurate with experience.
