Resident Engineer

About the Role

We are in search of an accomplished Resident Engineer with a solid background in overseeing residential and tower construction projects, specifically within Ras Al Khaimah. The selected professional will serve as the on-site engineer, guaranteeing that all design, quality, and construction targets align with contractual obligations and meet the regulatory standards set by Ras Al Khaimah authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities to ensure adherence to contract documents, design intentions, and technical specifications.
• Serve as the central communication point between clients, contractors, and consultancy teams.
• Ensure strict compliance with requirements set forth by Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, RAK Civil Defence, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Review and endorse contractor submissions including shop drawings, selected materials, and construction methodologies.
• Track and control project progress, maintain quality assurance, uphold safety standards, and manage cost effectiveness on site.
• Lead and coordinate site meetings, issue necessary work instructions, and provide technical leadership to drive timely project completion.
• Collaborate with Structural, MEP, Quantity Surveying, and Contract teams to promptly resolve any technical or contractual challenges.
• Generate and deliver detailed progress reports to management and clients.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 10 years of experience within the UAE, concentrating on site supervision for residential and high-rise building projects.
• Compulsory prior experience as a Resident Engineer on construction projects specifically located in Ras Al Khaimah.
• Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework including Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, RAK Civil Defence, and related authority approvals.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Membership in the UAE Society of Engineers is advantageous.
• Strong familiarity with construction contracts, site management, quality standards, and technical procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and meet project deadlines efficiently.
