About Specialty1 Partners
Specialty1 Partners is a practice services organization dedicated to delivering non-clinical business support to leading specialty dental practices in the United States. Established in 2019 by four endodontists, the company initially focused on serving endodontic offices and has since expanded to encompass periodontic and oral surgery practices. Role Objective and Purpose
This leadership role entails managing multiple dental practice locations across CT, MA, NH, VT, ME, and Upstate/Western NY, covering about 14 practices, 36+ providers, and annual revenues of $54.5 million. The Regional Director of Operations will ensure operational excellence, robust financial results, regulatory compliance, and foster strong partnerships with doctors and practice leaders. The role also involves driving strategic growth, mentoring office managers, leading change management, and aligning with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and follow monthly travel schedules to visit and support direct reports and partner practices.
- Cultivate trusting relationships with partner doctors, practice leaders, and teams.
- Oversee onboarding of new associates through regular communication and growth monitoring.
- Participate actively in weekly field visits to engage and lead practice teams.
- Focus on key operational areas such as financial performance, recruitment, strategy execution, revenue cycle and payer relations, procurement, accounts payable, and marketing.
- Advocate and implement standardized plans to drive organizational change and growth initiatives.
- Effectively communicate vision, strategic priorities, and operational changes to leadership and staff to ensure cohesive understanding and execution.
- Mentor and support Office Managers and Practice Leaders, including aligning Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for career advancement.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with managers regularly, build rapport with partner surgeons and associates, and provide measurable goal-setting tools.
- Identify and pursue organic growth opportunities, cost management, and profitability enhancements for practices.
- Lead monthly Management Operating Reviews (MORs), develop SMART goals, address performance in hotspot practices, and track outcomes.
- Spot operational inefficiencies and promote best practices to boost organic growth.
- Collaborate with compliance teams and leadership to manage regulatory adherence and company SOPs.
- Champion employee retention initiatives, engagement efforts, and organizational culture programs.
- Lead coding update projects to ensure proper implementation of coding recommendations.
- Align Management by Objectives (MBO) around best practices and practice optimization strategies.
- Maintain communication with the Vice President of Operations to standardize processes and coordinate with other departments.
- Authorize practice approvals with escalation to VP when necessary and review compensation adjustments in coordination with VP of Operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 3 to 5 years minimum experience in leadership within healthcare settings, preferably dental or medical practices.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple sites and teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related disciplines.
- Exceptional leadership, team-building, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to influence change and implement initiatives effectively.
- Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of financial management, including profit and loss statements.
- Knowledgeable about regulatory compliance and operational standards.
- Competent in practice management software and relevant technologies.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to various locations.
- High professionalism, integrity, and dedication to employee development and organizational improvement.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Compensation Range
The base annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 USD.
