Role Overview
The Receptionist is pivotal in delivering outstanding guest service by ensuring smooth Front Office operations. Serving as the initial contact point, this role manages guest arrivals, departures, reservations, and inquiries, upholding top-tier hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival; ensure efficient and professional check-in/check-out procedures.
- Register guests, verify their bookings, allocate rooms, and distribute room keys following hotel protocols.
- Handle financial transactions including guest payments, cashiering, and currency exchange while maintaining precise billing records.
- Respond swiftly to guest questions, requests, and complaints, guaranteeing timely and satisfactory resolutions.
- Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Concierge, Engineering, and other departments to fulfill guest needs efficiently.
- Review daily guest arrival and departure lists, making sure special requests, VIP guests, and room assignments are correctly arranged.
- Promote hotel amenities, dining outlets, room upgrades, and services to enhance guest satisfaction and hotel earnings.
- Maintain and update accurate guest profiles using the property management system.
- Safeguard the confidentiality and privacy of all guest data at all times.
- Oversee room availability and promptly report any inconsistencies to the Front Office Supervisor or Duty Manager.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a comparable role within a 5-star hotel or resort setting.
- Hold a diploma in Tourism or Hospitality Management.
- Exhibit strong English language proficiency and communication capabilities.
- Multilingual skills and basic knowledge of local languages are advantageous.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and hotel Property Management Systems, such as Opera or equivalents.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational abilities and capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Have keen attention to detail ensuring accuracy in guest and financial data handling.
- Maintain a positive demeanor with a high standard of professionalism and integrity.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends, public holidays, and nights as needed.
