Role Overview

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst responsible for defining high-level test scenarios, designing and executing manual test cases, and monitoring defect resolution. The role requires adherence to established QA protocols and timely delivery of assigned tasks. This remote position allows optional onsite presence at TELUS Health offices where available.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with Functional Leads, Business Analysts, Solution Designers, and Developers to clearly define testing scope.
• Examine technical documentation to identify overarching test scenarios.
• Develop both positive and negative test cases using systematic testing methodologies.
• Create manual test scripts detailing expected outcomes and necessary test data.
• Keep test suites current with any new or revised functionalities.
• Prioritize test execution according to established test case priorities.
• Perform manual test execution, document actual results, and report any defects found.
• Ensure timely follow-up on defect fixes and conduct related retesting.
• Provide status updates on testing progress to QA Leads.
• Alert stakeholders of significant risks related to timelines or quality.
• Perform all QA activities adhering to defined standards and procedures.
• Effectively manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of one year experience in software quality assurance.
• Automation testing experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with JavaScript is considered a plus.
• Empathy to understand client perspectives on testing requirements.
• Ability to apply a blend of learned and researched concepts and data to problem-solving in a structured fashion.
• Communicate clearly and adaptively when interacting with stakeholders.
• Capability to view problems from the end user’s standpoint.
• Maintain uncompromising quality standards and openness to feedback.
• Possess curiosity, discipline, and creativity in work approach.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Take ownership and accountability to deliver as planned.

Fluent English communication skills are essential due to regular interaction with internal teams and use of English-only IT tools, reflecting the national scope of this role.

Compensation and Benefits
