About the Role
We are seeking a Proposals Engineer to join our team at our Head Office in Loughrea, County Galway. This role offers a competitive salary and involves a range of tasks focused on preparing bids and procurement documentation to support securing future projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Tender and Pre-qualification documents to secure upcoming contracts.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs of materials and equipment.
- Compile and manage Requests for Quotations (RFQs), ensuring thorough and detailed supplier responses.
- Develop detailed engineering designs and bills of quantities.
- Write and review detailed submissions and bids before final submission.
- Coordinate effectively between Mechanical & Electrical Designers and Civil & Structural Designers.
- Create Method Statements for project execution.
- Engage with suppliers and oversee procurement based on detailed take-offs.
- Evaluate incoming RFQs and produce comparative analyses to assist in supplier and subcontractor selection.
- Maintain communication with clients throughout relevant processes.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar proposals engineering role.
- Strong time management abilities to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
