Project Manager - High-Rise Construction

About the Role

We seek a seasoned Project Manager with extensive expertise in overseeing high-rise construction projects, specifically in residential, commercial, or mixed-use tower developments. The role demands managing multiple contractors and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery aligns with timeframes, budget constraints, and compliance standards related to quality, safety, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive project execution from initial planning through final handover for high-rise construction.
• Manage timelines, budgeting, procurement activities, and resource distribution efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and government agencies.
• Track construction progress ensuring milestones and deadlines are met consistently.
• Evaluate contractor performance enforcing contract compliance and quality benchmarks.
• Conduct project meetings, site walkthroughs, and progress evaluations with all involved parties.
• Proactively identify risks and apply mitigation actions.
• Ensure construction processes meet safety standards, statutory authority mandates, and organizational policies.
• Approve technical documents including submissions, method statements, shop drawings, and regular status reports.
• Address and resolve technical, contractual, and operational challenges during construction.
• Deliver projects within approved budgets while meeting quality expectations.
• Prepare detailed management reports and updates for senior leadership teams.
• Assist in managing claims, contract variations, and negotiations with contractors as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Preferably holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management roles.
• Demonstrated expertise managing high-rise building projects in residential, commercial, or mixed-use sectors.
• Extensive practical experience coordinating with main contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts such as FIDIC, project scheduling, and cost management.
• Familiarity with local building laws, approvals, and authorities.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Proficient with project management software including Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and reporting tools.
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience working on GCC or UAE projects is highly advantageous.

Mandatory Conditions

• Applicant must be an Arabic national.
• Possess at least 8 years of high-rise building experience within the UAE.
• Minimum 8 years serving as a Project Manager specifically in high-rise construction projects within the UAE.
• Previous hands-on experience with contractors is required.
