Project Manager - Capital Projects

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Capital Project Manager to lead significant capital project initiatives at our Hokitika facility. Reporting to the Site Capital Projects Manager, you will be responsible for steering projects from initial concept through to completion within the Capital PMO framework. The role demands development and oversight of detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, alongside coordinating diverse resources across multiple disciplines. Collaboration with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers is critical to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing project plans and financial budgets.
• Coordinating work among project teams and external contractors.
• Maintaining stakeholder engagement and delivering regular progress updates.
• Ensuring projects are executed safely, punctually, and within budget constraints.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience managing capital projects in industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environments. You will possess strong skills in project planning, budgeting, and coordination from project initiation through commissioning. Effectively managing contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals is essential. You must be adept at risk management, balancing competing priorities, and adapting as project requirements evolve, all while keeping projects on track.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build and influence relationships at all hierarchy levels are crucial. A commitment to safety standards, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and problem-solving aptitude are key attributes.
