Production Helper

Job Overview

Join the production team at Carmeuse located in Beachville, Ontario as a Production Helper, where you will contribute to the manufacturing process in a hands-on role within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute general manual labor tasks and maintain cleanliness in production zones.
• Carry out basic production assignments as directed for smooth operational flow.
• Visually inspect and operate machinery including packaging lines, conveyor belts, elevators, scales, dust collection, and product storage units.
• Participate in kiln shutdown duties such as refractory maintenance.
• Monitor lime product quality and identify nonconforming items.
• Operate and inspect mobile equipment like front-end loaders, forklifts, bobcats, and haul trucks safely.
• Collaborate effectively with peers with minimal supervision required.
• Accurately fill out required documentation and records regarding production processes.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and legislative standards.
• Immediately report any production, mechanical, or electrical issues to supervisory staff.
• Properly utilize all mandated personal protective equipment (PPE), including fall protection gear, gloves, respirators, face shields, hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.
• Follow procedures and safely use any confined space apparatus for related tasks.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of high school or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of processes and plant machinery typically found in manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and technical capability.
• Experience operating heavy machinery is advantageous.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems.
• Proven leadership abilities in previous roles.
• Strong team collaboration skills coupled with maturity and a dedicated work ethic.
• Fluency in both spoken and written English.
